Welcome to the Bitter Coast.
Locally known as just that 'swamp you reach when you cross that little rickety bridge over there', and widely known as that 'depressing little place where all the poor folk live', the Bitter Coast is home to the various little fishing hamlets of Morrowind, the vast majority of swamps, and virtually nothing else besides the small quasi-Imperial fishing town called Seyda Neen. Travelling within the swamps is a somewhat slow affair, with bogs and marshes often slowing the way. The area is also infested with Kwama foragers, owing to the various wild Kwama hives around the Bitter Coast. Occassionally, the unlucky traveller will also stumble accross the Nix Hound, or the more common Cliff Racer. For the inexperienced adventurer, a Nix Hound alone could cause a possibly crippling injury, whilst for the more skillful ones, there is very rarely anything worth their while. Although there are several ancient Dunmeri tombs scattered over the Bitter Coast, they are better left untouched, as they are guarded with powerful spirits of the dead.
